Philadelphia Scaffold Collapse
News reports today indicate that two workers have been sent to the hospital after a Philadelphia scaffolding collapse.
The reports indicated that a line supporting part of the scaffold, which was hanging off of the side of the building and suspended 25-30 feet from an adjacent roof, snapped, caused the structure to buckle.
Just last month, we shared a detailed report on scaffold safety, citing that there are a reported 4,500 injuries from scaffold-related accidents each year. We’ve also stayed on top of legislation and issues related to work accidents, such as the proposed Scaffold Safety Law in New York in 2015.
