These recalled spa pumps can overheat and ignite. At least three fires have been reported, including one that resulted in a death and another that caused significant property damage. Consumers should immediately stop using the pumps and return them for a replacement or refund.

Cadet Apex72 Electric Heater
Glen Dimplex Americas has recalled its Cadet Apex72 Electric Heaters due to a fire hazard. The fan can fail to turn on, which will cause the unit to overheat and possibly ignite. Consumers should stop using the heaters and contact the company for a free replacement heater that will be installed at no cost.

Delta Cycle Ceiling Hoists with Straps
The straps have plastic buckles that could break, causing the large objects they are holding to drop, posing an injury hazard. Consumers should immediately stop using the hoists and contact the company to get free replacement straps.

GYM, PANDION and PANJI Climbing Harnesses
Petzl America has recalled its harnesses due to a fall hazard. They can be put on backwards and attached to a non-weight-bearing loop elastic band. That puts the user at risk for serious injury, paraplegia or death. The company is offering a free repair.

Intellio Toys Bright Builder Fort Kits with Flashlights
The button cell batteries that power these toys are in a compartment that can be easily opened. That presents a potential ingestion risk. If these batteries are swallowed, they can cause serious injury, internal chemical burns, and even death. The company is offering a full refund.

John Deere Compact Utility Tractors
The tractors present a crash hazard due to the potential for the front bell crank in the brake linkage to fail. If that happens, the tractor loses its ability to brake. There have been four reports of the brakes failing, including one hospitalization, two impact injuries and minor property damage. Consumers should stop using the tractor and contact an authorized John Deere dealer for a repair.

Liberty Hardware Multi-Grip Tub Safety Bars
On tubs with tapered side walls, the sticker pads can dislodge, posing a fall hazard. There have been 14 reports of the sticker pads becoming dislodged, including one fall that resulted in injury. The company is offering prepaid packaging to return the bars for a $35 refund.

LUCID Platform Beds
CVB has recalled its LUCID Platform Beds with upholstered square tufted headboards due to fall and injury hazards. The beds can sag, break or collapse during use. There have been 245 reports of the beds breaking, sagging, or collapsing, causing 18 injuries. The company is offering a free replacement bed frame.
