Duffy Firm Sponsors Adam Taliaferro Foundation Football Classic
The Duffy firm was a major sponsor of the 2019 Larry Ginsburg 7x7 Football Classic, hosted by the Adam Taliaferro Foundation and held this week at Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ.
This invitational game brings together some of South Jersey's top football players and coaches and attracts thousands of spectators, all to raise money for the foundation, which provides emotional, financial and educational support to athletes and individuals who suffer catastrophic head or spinal injuries in New Jersey, Pennsylvania or Delaware.
The foundation was started by Taliaferro, who became paralyzed in 2000 while making a tackle for Penn State in a football game against Ohio State. He was told he would never walk again. However, after three months of intensive therapy, tireless determination, and support from his family, he walked out of Magee Rehabilitation Hospital. Now, through Magee and the foundation, he hosts several fundraising and educational events each year to benefit the cause.
The firm has long been a supporter of the Taliaferro Foundation. The firm was awarded its highest honor for businesses, the AAA Business Award, at a recognition dinner in 2017.
